Cookies - Resume Score Checker

Short answer: we set no cookies of our own. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, no cookie wall. We also store nothing in your browser's localStorage or sessionStorage. This page lists the two third-party scripts that do run, and what each one does.

What actually runs here

Cloudflare Web Analytics (Cloudflare) — aggregate, cookieless traffic statistics: page views, referrers, country and device class, with no per-visitor identifier. It is how we know which pages are useful.
Impact affiliate tracker (Impact.com) — rewrites the outbound links to the tools we recommend and reports that a click happened, so the partner can credit a referral. This is the only mechanism by which the site earns anything.

That is the complete list of third-party scripts on the site. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising network, no social pixel, and no session-recording tool.

What we measured

On 6 October 2026 we inspected a normal visit to the site, including a visit carrying affiliate click parameters:

Cookies set by us: none. A plain page load, and a load with ?irclickid= tracking parameters, both produced zero cookies and an empty document.cookie.
Browser storage: none. No localStorage or sessionStorage keys are written, and the codebase contains no document.cookie writes and no server-side Set-Cookie header.
Anti-bot protection. Cloudflare's security layer sits in front of the site. If it decides a request needs a bot check, it may set a short-lived anti-bot cookie (typically __cf_bm, valid for minutes). It exists to tell humans and bots apart during that request; we do not read or use its contents for tracking.

What happens when you click a recommended tool

Clicking a recommendation takes you to a third-party site. From that point their cookies and privacy policy apply, not ours — the partner or the affiliate network may set its own cookie to record that the visit came from us. Our own affiliate links are marked rel="sponsored nofollow" so both users and search engines can tell they are commercial links.

How to block all of it

Any content blocker or privacy extension that blocks third-party scripts will stop both of the scripts above.
Your browser settings can block third-party cookies entirely. Since we set none, nothing on the site breaks.
Scoring is unaffected. The score, section breakdown, job match and missing-keyword analysis are produced by our own rule engine. Blocking scripts costs you no functionality.

Our commitment going forward

If we ever add something that stores data in your browser or tracks you across sites, we will (a) say so on this page, (b) ask you first where consent is required, and (c) keep the tool working if you decline. The free scoring tool will stay usable without accepting anything.
