Resume Score Checker is a 100% free resume ATS scoring tool. We believe in privacy-first design: you should be able to get useful feedback on your resume without giving up the document itself.
Anonymous report snapshots are kept for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically deleted. Your resume file is never retained past the moment of scoring.
Saved report links. If you leave an email address we can save that report so you can open it again later. It is kept for the same 30 days, and it contains the same scrubbed report (names, emails, phone numbers and URLs replaced with [redacted]) — never your resume file. The link works as a key: anyone who has it can open the report, so treat it like a shared document. Ask us to delete it earlier and we will.
Improvement curve (score history). On the same device we keep your recent scores for the same 30 days so the report can show an improvement curve. We connect a score to the curve only when it is a score of an edit of the same resume (compared as anonymised line fingerprints — not your text) and was produced by the same scoring version. Anything else stays out of the line, and the report tells you how many entries were left out rather than dropping them silently. The curve stores scores and fingerprints only — never your resume text or file. You can delete this history at any time with the “Delete my score history” button on the report.
Your email address. For the report email itself we store only a one-way hash of your address, never the address. If — and only if — you tick the reminder box, we additionally keep your address encrypted (AES-256-GCM; not readable plaintext, and not usable without a key held on our server) for up to 30 days, for one single purpose: sending you that one improvement reminder. Untick the box, or never tick it, and no address is stored at all. Every reminder carries a one-click unsubscribe; using it deletes the encrypted address immediately and permanently opts that address out of any further email. Reminder emails are sent through Resend, which needs the address in transit to deliver them.
We use Cloudflare for edge delivery. Some resume tools we recommend use their own affiliate tracking (via our /go/ redirect links) which may set cookies when you click through. We never receive or store those tools' account data.
